Jeremiah and the Toy Story Gang

Well we survived Toy Story but we almost froze! We were actually sitting on the ice about 6" from the skaters (we got hit with ice a couple of times). We took a blanket and jackets and dressed in what we thought were warm clothes - didn't matter! We froze - I lost the feeling in my feet just before intermission. Having had my few seconds of moaning and groaning - I am done.

Jeremiah was absolutely captivated!!!! There is a large screen on the scoreboard at the arena and Jeremiah thought that was the show. When the lights went out and the characters started skating out - I think he actually went into shock! Poor little guy - I don't think he blinked until intermission. Hamm actually skated over and put his face right up against our hands! Jeremiah reached out and said "Not today Evil Dr Porkchop!" then he just started giggling and laughing. It was hilarious. We had a late dinner after the show and Jeremiah had to tell everyone that he had been to see Toy Story 3 and that he got to pet Hamm/Evil Dr. Porkchop.

We had his picture made with Woody and Buzz figures and my heart gave a jump - he looks so much older than the little boy who rode home with us from Guatemala a little over 2 years ago. In the picture is a little boy who looks about 6 years old!!! I almost asked the photographer whose child that was but it was Jeremiah. He is growing so fast sometimes it's like if I blink I miss something really important. I keep thinking about that song from Armageddon - I don't want to close my eyes, I don't want to fall asleep cause I miss you baby and I don't want to miss a thing. I really don't want to miss a thing but he is constantly changing and evolving. He just changed Mom's Morning Out schools and we were concerned but he went in the first day like a champ and told me when I picked him up that he loved it! At this school we pull up and the director opens the door and helps them out and then they go into a fenced in area and walk up a sidewalk (with many teachers outside assisting of course) and then into the doors of the school and to their classroom. They have individual name tags and they have to take their name tags off the wall and put them in the basket when they get there. It is building independence and he is very proud of himself that he gets to go in like a "big boy" without Mom or Dad holding his hand.

I forgot our camera but we picked up one at the arena and I will see if I can add some photos!

Toy Story here we come!!!!!!

Well we haven't told Jeremiah but the G's have tickets to Toy Story on ice tonight! We have front row seats so we are right on the ice - it promises to be a chilly evening!

Jeremiah LOVES Toy Story - he even wanted to be Woody for Halloween! So his Paw-Paw and Maw-Maw have bought him a Woody costume for Halloween! I am tempted to let him wear the costume tonight to see the show (so he can really get in the mood!).

I am sure there will be several thousand screaming kids there so say a prayer for Avery and I. It looks like it's going to be a WILD evening! I don't think we can take cameras in to the arena but we are going to try and take some pics with our cell phones - hopefully I can post them. We are taking a camera just in case.

More Later!!!!!!!
